Privacy policy
This page explains what we collect when you enquire about a retreat, why we hold it, and how to have it removed. Last updated 1 September 2026.
Who is responsible
Strauss Pilates Retreats, run by Lena Strauss, Berlin, Germany. For anything on this page, write to hello@strauss.studio.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form and what you send us afterwards: your name and email address; which retreat and room you are asking about; anything you choose to tell us about injuries, pregnancy, or dietary needs, so sessions and meals can be adjusted; and booking and payment records once a place is confirmed.
Health and dietary details are sensitive. We treat them as such: they are seen only by Lena and, where necessary, the retreat kitchen, and they are deleted after the retreat ends.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry, arrange your place, keep you safe in sessions, and meet accounting obligations. We do not use your details for advertising and we do not sell or share them with anyone beyond the accommodation and kitchen who need them to host you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after twelve months. Health and dietary notes are deleted once the retreat has finished. Invoices and payment records are kept for ten years, as German tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to us holding it at all. Write to hello@strauss.studio and you will hear back within thirty days. If you are unhappy with the answer you may complain to your local data protection authority.
This website
No tracking or advertising cookies. Our host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security, and deletes them after thirty days.
