Terms and conditions
These terms apply to every place booked on a Strauss retreat. Booking a place means accepting them. Last updated 1 September 2026.
Booking and deposit
An enquiry is not a booking. A place is held once we confirm it in writing and a deposit of €600 has been received. The balance is due sixty days before the retreat begins. If the balance is not paid by then the place may be released and the deposit kept.
What the price includes
Seven nights in the room type booked, all pilates and movement sessions, and all meals as described on the retreat page.
It does not include flights, airport transfers unless stated, travel insurance, visas, treatments booked on site, or anything else of a personal nature.
Cancellation by you
90+ days
Deposit refunded in full, less a €75 administration fee.
60–89 days
Deposit retained; any balance already paid is refunded.
Under 60
No refund. If the place is filled from the waiting list, the balance is refunded less the deposit.
Places may be transferred to another person up to thirty days before departure at no charge.
Cancellation by us
Retreats run with a minimum of six guests. If we cancel for any reason, including illness or events beyond our control, you are offered a place on another date or a full refund of everything paid to us. We cannot refund flights or other travel you have booked separately, which is why insurance is required.
Health, insurance and travel
Travel insurance covering medical treatment and cancellation is a condition of booking. You are responsible for your own passport, visa and vaccinations.
Tell us about injuries, medical conditions or pregnancy before you book so sessions can be adapted, and again if anything changes. You take part in movement sessions at your own risk and should stop if something hurts.
Behaviour
These are small groups in shared houses. We may ask a guest to leave, without refund, if their behaviour makes the retreat unsafe or unpleasant for others.
Changes and law
Schedules, accommodation and teachers may change where necessary; anything substituted will be of a comparable standard. These terms are governed by German law. How we handle your details is set out in the privacy policy. Questions to hello@strauss.studio.
